What med spa software actually costs
We track published pricing, setup fees and add-on charges for 24 med spa and aesthetics platforms, and record which ones have real medical charting versus which are booking systems wearing a clinical label. Every number carries the date we read it off the vendor's own page.
Why this site exists. Advertised starting prices in this category are close to meaningless. Of the 13 platforms that publish a price at all, 4 are quoting a promotional or annual-prepay rate rather than their standard one, several bill per location or per user rather than per business, and nearly every one charges separately for the features a med spa actually needs — charting, e-prescribing, forms, marketing. We publish the whole bill, not the headline.

The three most expensive assumptions
1. That the advertised price is per business
It usually is not. Boulevard, Mangomint, Mindbody and Square Appointments price per location. Aesthetic Record and Fresha price per user — Aesthetic Record's $15 entry tier becomes $90 a month for a six-person clinic before a single add-on, and it carries a $399 onboarding fee that appears nowhere near the headline. Two platforms with similar sticker prices can differ threefold on the invoice.
2. That clinical charting is included
Fresha, Vagaro, Square Appointments, WellnessLiving, Mindbody and Booker have no medical charting at all. They are excellent booking systems. If you inject, laser or prescribe, you will be buying a second system — a cost that rarely appears in any comparison table. We sorted every platform on this axis.
3. That the annual price is the price
Most published rates in this category assume annual prepayment, and several are promotional. Boulevard's listed $140 tier is a summer promotion against a $176 standard rate, on annual billing, per location. We record the standard rate alongside the promotional one.
